(Emergency Services) PUASAR025
The purpose of this course is to provide the participant with the knowledge and skills to define the Acts, Standards and Regulations governing the entry and safe working practices in Confined Spaces, identify hazards encountered in confined spaces, select and maintain equipment that may be utilised in Confined Space Rescues, demonstrate the operation of Confined Space Rescue equipment and demonstrate rescue techniques involving persons collapsed in confined spaces.
Course Content:
The following topics will be addressed:
- Acts, Standards and Regulations
- procedures for entry into confined spaces
- dangers of entrapment and/or engulfment
- isolation and de-energisation, lockout/tagout
- confined space rescue equipment
- rescue techniques
- rescue systems for lowering and raising stretchers

5 days
Entry Requirements:
Trainees are required to a pre-course assignment prior to the commencement of the course. The following competencies are also required:
